Lime Cookies

Amish Friendship Bread

There are a few scents that make me nauseous and this is one of them, smelly like raisins and stale oil. Ick. Very strong throw will not repurchase. (24w hotplate)

Pink Peppermint

Love it! Light sweet scent and strong peppermint - what else can one ask for in a bedtime scent. Will always be on the repurchase list. (18w and 24w hotplate)

Lemon Marshmallow x2

Yum! I always put this in for visitors and they love it. They also would like me to feed them cupcakes when it is melting or I have to turn it off. Creamy lemony goodness, it is a must try. Want in bulk, will always repurchase. (18w and 24w hotplate and 40w lightbulb)

Mexican Fried Ice Cream 

Eww another one that makes me nauseous, smells like creamy stale oil. I melted one and gave away the rest. I couldn't and I will not be repurchasing. Very strong throw. (24w hotplate)

Strawberry Marshmallow Bread

I keep buying this because everyone raves about it but I don't get it - I do not like this. Ick! It is very strong and smells of creamy strawberry and something else which I am guessing is the bread. Not for my nose. (18w and 24w hotplate)

Peppermint Noel x2

I love FP peppermint and any combination that makes it creamy I want in bulk, the vanilla bean noel scent is growing on me. Very strong, I got these two in a RR and it is on my list to re-buy. (24w hotplate)

Bear Claw

Same stale oil scent that makes me nauseous - will not repurchase. There are just some tarts that have an underlying smell that I just can't melt. Strong throw. (24w hotplate)

Caramel Apple Funnel Cake

Not a fan of caramel apple scents but I did like this. Rich caramel and a crisp apple bakery scent. Very strong but will not repurchase. (18w and 24w hotplate)

Pink Sugar Noel

This was a creamy sweet scent. I liked it but did not love it, to my nose was very light. (24w hotplate)

Snuggling Under the Stars

I don't know how to describe this scent, fruity, earthy and a little sweet. Very strong throw and long lasting. Will repurchase. (24w hotplate)

Sunburn

Strong suntan scent, not for my nose, would not repurchase. (24w hotplate)

Citrus Laundry

This is so strong, and it smells like it's name, a very, very strong citrusy laundry scent. Definitely a repurchase. (24w hotplate)

Sweet Pine Noel

Pine and vanilla - light scent throw. Did not like it, not a repurchase. (24w hotplate)

Lavender Blackberry Cookie

Sweet lavender and a tart bakery blackberry scent but it is not for my nose. Medium scent throw that lasted for around six hours. (18w hotplate)

Update

While I have been MIA I went on a very successful wax ban from the end of April to the end of October. Six months of success!! YAY!!!

I have not been posting much because I have been super busy but I will be posting reviews of some of my empty wax products that I used up during that period. I made a dent in my stash but not one as big as I would have liked. So even though I am done with the ban I will be on limited buy.  :)

Love, love, love this scent. Nice fruity pineapple with a strong orchid scent, both equally represented in this blend. This was strong and lasted over 24 hours. Got this in a destash, checked out the website and didn't see it listed. (24w hot plate)

This was a sweet bakery scent, I got a light trace of lavender, nice and soothing with a medium scent throw. Would not repurchase because I prefer to fall asleep with mint scents. (24w hotplate)

Citrus Explosion

I had a four pack in this and melted the first 2 late last year and got a light throw. Recently melted the last 2 and it blew me away. Have another 4 pack to go through. (24w hotplate)

Another love, this was so yummy, nice citrus scent it was a crisp fizzy scent with a hint of orange. A nice Saturday morning scent for brunch. May repurchase, medium scent throw. (24w hotplate)

This was nice, light to medium scent throw, with this one I got a creamy lime scent, it almost smelt like ice cream, i did love that creamy note. (24w hot plate)

The first two cubes were melted in a Partylite warmer  light scent throw - very disappointed, same thing happened with the 2nd two cubes. This was annoying because the previous clam-shell I had in this was strong and yummy, then I remembered I had melted it in my 24w hot plate - so I put the last 2 in there and I got a medium scent throw - still not as strong as I remembered but much better than the first two tries. I got a sweet lemony cheesecake scent. This was delicious, makes me want some cheesecake to eat. Will repurchase.

Yummy! I love peppermint anytime of year and it is a great scent to have melting at night.

This was strong like most of  CBV scent shots, the almond was overwhelming, followed by light notes of something creamy and a little floral, if you took a deep breath felt like you were tasting the tart. Not too fond of almond scents so will not repurchase, however, if you like almonds then this is the one for you it is strong and lasted for two days (24w hot plate)

Bare Necessities
If you love citrus, this is a must buy, it is so good - a nice mixture of oranges and lemon with other stuff my nose cannot identify. Strong throw - already repurchased as part of a layered loaf. (24w hot plate)

Ultimate Donut 
This was in the old wax, put in 2 scalloped tarts, these were strong, lasted more than 12 hours, at first you get a light cinnamon with a medium donut note, after 8 hours the donut note fades away leaving a medium cinnamon scent. Go figure lol, will not re-buy cinnamon is too strong. (Partylite Warmer)

Sinus Relief
I love this scent but it gives me no sinus relief, it tickles my nose to much when I have sinus problems and I it is very light on the spearmint and peppermint. I like to melt this before bed - it is more of a spa scent with a hint of floral - at least to my nose. Will repurchase this eventually but not any time soon as I have a 16oz unused candle in this scent. (24w hot plate)

Trying to use up some of my older Tiffany's - I put three of the little ring donuts in the warmer and got a light scent throw :(. Smells of cinnamon and a nice bakery scent, I will repurchase because the first two donuts I melted I remember being stronger - so I will give it one more try. (Partylite Warmer)

Butterscotch Drizzle

This is a combination of donut shop and toasted marshmallow. It okay - the marshmallows lightens the donut scent, not that impressed. Will not repurchase though it had a medium throw and lasted at least 6 hours

This isn't pictured either because I got a slice of a loaf in a destash and melted it all at once and threw away the packaging because it was all waxy and icky. The scent however was heavenly. I am not a fan of pink but I must admit I do love VDC pink and I could smell the marshmallows, so many times I order marshmallow and can barely get a whiff. This had a medium to strong scent throw and lasted quite a while. May order a cookie or some tarts in this scent but not a whole loaf. (Partylite Warmer)

Not really a fan of pink but love fruit loops. This sent was just okay  - was an equal mix for me the pink did not over power the fruit loops and the fruit loops was nothing to write home about. The scent was medium and the throw was medium. Nice but not a favourite. Would not repurchase, however if I get this in a destash or RR will melt and enjoy.  (Partylite Warmer)

Pumpkins & Apples
Perfect fall scent - great combination of pumpkin and apples. This lasted for at least eight hours, had a medium throw but strong scent. Again not a favourite, I would not go out of my way to order it, if however I was placing an order and a 4 pack was available will grab it. (40w light bulb)

This one was a dud. It had a light throw and a light scent. I could not even describe what it smelt like because it was so light, I got a little fruit and maybe some spices. Would not repurchase.  (Partylite Warmer)

Strawberry Marshmallow Bread
I do not understand why everyone is so crazy over this scent. It has a strong throw but I do not like it. I keep buying and melting it because I keep thinking maybe I am missing something or maybe mines was an accident. But I'm beginning to think it's just my nose. I love the strawberry scent but the marshmallow and the bread makes it yucky - at least to me. I will try not to repurchase.

This had a strong scent but light throw, I got this in a mystery sampler - it was described as "a clean fruity scent blended with pink sugar" I got the pink sugar and some fruit but could not identify what fruit. This was a major disappointment, I got a light caramel throw for half of the burn after that it started to smell like popcorn that was on the verge of burning. Will not repurchase, although I think I have another one.

Lemongrass
This started of as a problem had drowning wicks, tunneling and a light scent throw. I babied this candle - poured out some wax, used the foil method and finally it straightened out but still the throw was not strong. So I put it on my hot plate party light warmer while burning it at the same time and finally achieved a medium scent throw. I loved this scent it was clean and spa like with a little green sooo good but would probably never repurchase it in candle form.

Uggh where do I start, light scent and light throw, I should have never combined these two, it smelt okay but different from when I tried this with the tarts. Light fruity tropical scent. Burned cleanly for the first half then it started to soot badly and after that the wicks started moving apart to either ends of the jar, I had to manually move them back to the center numerous times. Will not repurchase.

Wax Ban

Yes it is that time. As of March 1st I have been on a no buy wax. I am going to try to do it for the whole month. If all goes well I will be trying to stay on the wagon for April also. So far it hasn't been that bad. I have been tempted with a few destashes but have been able to resist. I also nearly gave in when the Fresh Pick collection was released at Bath and Body Works but I just exchanged 3 candles for the 3 I wanted. Unfortunately my no buying wax has turned into buying and eating chocolate *sigh* If I bought and used my wax at the rate I am buying and consuming chocolate I wouldn't need to be on a ban lol.

Hi!!!!!!

I love all things scented - lotions, perfumes, shower gels and home fragrances.
I got it from my mama! No seriously, lol I did, both my mother and father loves scented stuff.
Even though we have bad sinuses - go figure.
Last year I went to the extreme with home fragrances - with the discovery of wax vendors. I have accumulated a ton of wax and have been buying more than I have been melting and burning. So I decided to start a blog to document my obsession and also to review the different vendors and scents. Now and then there will be mention of other stuff besides wax, my other passion is books - but it will mainly focus on the world of scents.
